A delightful Spring wedding at home!
Well, the wedding season has well and truly kicked off with a Spring in its step! March was to play host to our first wedding of the year, and what a wedding it was! Burton Road was the setting, glorious sunshine turned up as guest of honour and the scene was set. We had worked closely with the bride and groom throughout, planning and discussing menus, decoration, service of drinks and how to create the perfect ambience for their guests.
The menu was decided and included such delights as poached salmon, slaw with beets, feta pea and mint tart, roasted thyme and rosemary new potatos, Greek salad and homemade breads. This was obviously followed up with (our favourite bit!) sweet delicacies including pear and almond tart, Summer fruits pavlova and white chocolate and raspberry profiteroles. Being food-lovers like us, the happy couple wanted a cheese board to round the evening off. We selected some beauties from the Cheese Hamlet alongside delicious chutneys, pickles and breads.
We decorated with pretty bunting, old milk bottles and jam jars with tealights and dusted off our vintage crockery!
It was a truly lovely day, suited entirely to the beautiful bride and her groom and was a perfect example of how to do a small and intimate wedding at home. Take a look through our pictures….
We love to use local suppliers as much as we can and credit the following for their produce at this wedding… Trove Foods/The Cheese Hamlet/Flour, Water, Salt/The Easy Fish Co.
